Hi All,
It’s been an eventful year here at brewsci.com (even if the lack of posts suggests otherwise). Joe and I have went all the way from brewing with a thirty dollar extract kit to buying enough brewing equipment to fill an entire room. For those of you lucky enough to have tried our beers, we are asking for your votes on your favorite. Post a note in the comments section with your favorite beer and that will be the first beer we brew in the new year:
Your Choices:
Bad Science Amber – the brew that nearly cost me a finger
Mystery Recipe Pale Ale – Our first all grain batch
Zeke Choco Stout – So good a puppy was named after it
Fading Wit – Our Hefe that was christened in Yosemite
Hairy Hippie Pumpkin Ale – You can taste the organic goodness
Portland Grown IPA – no you haven’t tried this yet, but we have a whole keg of it!!!
send me a mixed six pack and i’ll happily tell you my favorite
I would but we’ve drank most of the batches already. I believe you tried the Amber at the Bacon and Whiskey party. We can get you a pumpkin and some IPA next time you are in town.
Oh and I’m going to vote on this for the Zeke Choco Stout and just because my vote counts more than yours doesn’t mean you shouldn’t vote. I’m just a super delegate but for beer.
its a tough call between the chocolate stout and pumpkin… the pumpkin was the best pumpkin beer ive ever tried but i love stouts… i would pay for either but ill give the nod to the stout for now.
Oh, dear!!!This is such a hard decision!!!! I will have to think about it while I’m in Cancun and get back to you on this one! I’m sure you will be anticipating my decision, since I am such a fan of your beer.
Love, MOM
Hi Matt,
You’re the reason I’ve taken to beer! But the one that really made it happen was the pumpkin spice. Hands down.

The chocolate stout because it only got better with time. Which, by this time, if there was any left, would make it 100x better, which would be pretty much the best beer ever. My second favorite is the fading wit.
love love the names, especially the Bad Science Amber – which almost cost your finger! =P
I personally love dark beers, so my favorite was the chocolate stout. I mean, we even named our puppy after it. I remember the first beer back when it all began. I fell in love with that Bad Science Amber. It was very very yummy. I haven’t admitted it up until now but I made love to that Amber in the guest bedroom this summer. Don’t tell Matt. Can’t wait to tap that IPA. The Mystery Pale Ale was tasty but not alcoholic enough.
Btw, I realized that I called your beer the “pumpkin spice”…hmm, I think I’ve been spending too much time at Starbucks.
Zeke Chocolate Stout paws down!
